Industrial-Grade PTO Shafts
Built for Maximum Uptime
From standard agricultural PTO shafts to heavy-duty telescopic and CV configurations — Ever Power delivers precision-engineered drive shafts that reduce downtime, withstand peak torque demands, and ship to over 60 countries worldwide.
The Critical Link Between Your Tractor and Implement
A Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft transfers rotational mechanical power from a tractor, engine, or prime mover directly to an attached implement — mowers, balers, pumps, augers, spreaders, and more. When a PTO shaft fails in the field, so does your productivity.
At HangZhou Ever Power Transmission, we engineer PTO shafts to the most demanding agricultural and industrial standards — with precise yoke fitment, superior-grade steel tubes, and high-capacity universal joints that outlast the competition.
Standard PTO Speeds
Industry-standard PTO speeds: 540 RPM (Cat. 1/2) and 1,000 RPM (Cat. 3/4) — we manufacture shafts for both, with matching spline profiles.
Telescopic Extension
Telescopic profiles allow safe length compensation during implement travel — preventing binding, vibration, and premature joint wear in uneven terrain applications.
CE Safety Guard Included
All standard shafts ship with CE-certified plastic safety guards — meeting EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and protecting operators from rotating parts.

The PTO Shaft Problems That Cost You Money
Purchasers worldwide often encounter a recurring series of challenges when selecting Power Take-Off (PTO) shafts. We have meticulously designed our manufacturing processes with the specific aim of completely eliminating all such issues.
Unexpected Field Failures & Downtime
Low-grade universal joints and inadequate heat treatment cause premature failure during peak harvest or construction season — when downtime costs are highest. Equipment stops; deadlines are missed.
Wrong Dimensions, Wrong Splines
Ordering PTO shafts from generic catalogues often results in mismatched spline profiles (6-spline vs 21-spline), incorrect collapsed/extended lengths, and incompatible yoke sizes that require costly re-ordering.
Excessive Vibration & Noise
Imbalanced shafts, worn cross-kits, and poor joint phasing cause destructive vibration that damages gearboxes, strains bearings, and creates operator fatigue — often blamed on the machine, not the shaft.
Unreliable Suppliers & Long Lead Times
Small workshops overpromise and underdeliver — inconsistent quality batch-to-batch, vague documentation, no traceable material certifications, and response times that leave you chasing orders for weeks.
How Ever Power Solves These Problems
Every design and manufacturing decision we make targets one goal: PTO shafts that outlast the competition and arrive exactly to spec.
Heat-Treated, Precision-Ground Tubes
We use 45# carbon steel and 40Cr alloy steel tubes with induction hardening – achieving HRC 58-62 surface hardness for superior wear resistance and torque capacity far exceeding standard market specs.
Custom Engineering at Scale
Send us your drawing or OEM part number. Our engineers verify spline count, series (S4–S8), collapsed/extended length, and yoke type – then manufacture to exact tolerance with full dimensional report.
Dynamic Balancing to G6.3
Every shaft undergoes dynamic balancing per ISO 1940-1 G6.3 standard – eliminating vibration at operational speeds and protecting downstream gearboxes from cyclic stress damage.
Full Traceability & Documentation
We provide material certificates (EN 10204 3.1), hardness test reports, dimensional inspection records, and CE declarations – everything your procurement and compliance team needs.
Fast Turnaround with Stable Stock
Standard catalog items ship within 3–7 business days. With 500+ SKUs in ready stock and a 12,000 m² factory, we handle urgent orders and large-volume contracts without compromising quality.
Dedicated B2B Account Management
A single technical account manager guides you from specification to delivery. No call centres. Direct communication, English-speaking engineers, and 24h response guarantee on all quotation requests.

PTO Shaft Buyer FAQs
Common questions from our B2B customers worldwide — answered clearly by our technical team.
What information do I need to order a PTO shaft?
To get an accurate quote, provide: (1) the collapsed and extended length of the shaft; (2) yoke type and connection size at each end (male/female spline size, quick-release or bolt-on); (3) series or torque requirement; (4) operating RPM; and (5) operating angle if wide-angle or CV is needed. Photos or drawings of the existing shaft are always helpful.
What is the difference between a 540 RPM and 1,000 RPM PTO shaft?
540 RPM is the standard speed for most agricultural implements (mowers, tedders, small pumps) and uses a 6-spline or 21-spline yoke. 1,000 RPM is used for higher-power applications (large balers, combines, industrial equipment) and commonly uses a 20-spline or 6-spline larger-diameter yoke. Ever Power manufactures both configurations across all series.
Can you manufacture PTO shafts to my custom dimensions?
Yes. Custom manufacturing is a core part of our business. We accept customer drawings (PDF, DXF, STEP), OEM part numbers, or sample shafts. Our engineers verify the specification and provide a technical confirmation before production. MOQs for custom shafts start from 10 pieces depending on complexity.
What is the difference between a CV PTO shaft and a standard PTO shaft?
A standard PTO shaft uses conventional universal (Cardan) joints which produce cyclical velocity variation at high angles — causing vibration and fatigue. A CV (Constant Velocity) shaft uses a double-joint configuration or homokinetic joint that maintains perfectly smooth output speed at all operating angles, protecting sensitive implements and reducing gearbox wear.
What certifications do your PTO shafts carry?
Our PTO shafts are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality management. CE declarations of conformity are available for standard shaft products, in line with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Material test certificates to EN 10204 3.1 are available on request. We can also support specific market certifications — contact us to discuss your regulatory requirements.
What is a clutch PTO shaft and when do I need one?
A clutch PTO shaft integrates a slip, ratchet, or overrunning clutch mechanism into the shaft assembly. It protects the tractor PTO gearbox and implement drivetrain from shock loads — for example, when a mower blade hits a rock or a baler ingests a knot. Clutch shafts are particularly recommended for stump grinders, wood chippers, and stone buriers where sudden overloads are common.
